How To Remove An Account

You can remove an account from your device at any time with ease. Removing an account does not delete the account but here is how to do it.
To remove an account
- Tap > Settings > Account > Remove account.
- Tap Confirm to remove the unwanted account from this device.
Note: If you remove your account, it will only be removed from the current device you’re using.
If you have linked devices then your idle WhatsApp account will be removed in 14 days.
It’s highly essential to know that your WhatsApp groups and channels will remain unaffected. But you’ll lose messages or data which isn’t backed up.
How To delete an account
- Tap > Settings > Account > Delete account.
- Enter your country code and phone number, then tap Delete account to confirm.
Note: when you delete your account the account will be deleted from WhatsApp and all the other logged devices.
- Your message history will be deleted.
- You will be out of all your WhatsApp groups.
- Your Google Drive backup will also be deleted.
- Any channels you create will be removed.
